This course introduces basic notions in deterministic and probabilistic signal processing, either in continuous time or in discrete time, such as Fourier representations and classical digital filtering techniques. It provides to the students the signal processing tools dedicated to audio.
This course aims to apply various estimation, transformation, and synthesis algorithms dedicated to musical sounds. The algorithms are implemented in Matlab language, via an experimental project. The students address the practical aspects of music audio signal processing, in order to acquire a know-how in terms of chosing the appropriate tools (accelerating the processes, making them more robust) and exploring their capabilities.
