BiographyI grew up in Léognan, next to Bordeaux, with famous vineyards next door. I studied maths and physics at Lycée Montaigne in Bordeaux during two years. Then I moved to Paris to study mathematical engineering at Ensta-Paristech. I completed my engineer's degree from Ensta-Paristech and my master's degree in "optimisation and game theory" from Paris 6 in 2009. During my PhD studies at Ecole Polytechnique, I developped my passion for optimisation theory and its applications to large scale problems. In particular, I studied optimisation problems arising from the Web and from biology. I defended my PhD in September 2012. I was awarded the PhD thesis prize of the Gaspard Monge Program for Optimization and Operations Research. Then, I got a post-doctoral researcher position at the University of Edinburgh (UK). I studied coordinate descent methods for nonsmooth functions. In 2014, I chose to continue my research on optimisation and randomized algorithms in Telecom ParisTech. |
