Short Bio

Welcome to my homepage. Teacher-Researcher at Telecom Paris since October 2007, I work in the department IDS (Image, Data and Signal) and am a member of the lab LTCI (Communication and Information Theory). I am the head of the research team S2A, I have been in charge of the master program Big Data (2013-2021) and the holder of the industrial chair ML4BGD (2013-2018) and now actively participate to the industrial chair Data Science and AI for Digitalized Industry and Services.

Before that I worked as a Teacher-Researcher at Paris X University (2000-2004) and researcher in the Research Unity INRA Met@risk (2005-07). I was also member of the lab LPMA (Stochastic Modeling and Probability) of Universities Paris 6 and Paris 7 UMR CNRS N° 7799. I received my university education from University Paris 7 Denis Diderot (PhD in Applied Maths, visiting the Department of Statistics of Stanford University, 1997-1998). My main research contributions are in the fields of machine-learning, stochastic processes and nonparametric statistics. I have also an immoderate taste for stochastic modeling and applied statistics in various application areas, ranging from quantitative finance to biosciences, through signal and image processing.
