Overview
The goal of this class is to provide a gentle introduction to mobile application development through the lens of iOS, the operating system underpinning the iPhone, iPad, and iPods Touch. At the end of this week, you will be able to:
- Write a new iOS application from scratch
- Respect the iOS Human Interface Guidelines
- Use the device’s sensors and other capabilities
- Communicate with third-party servers
- Quickly adapt to other mobile platforms

Class Schedule
- Monday:
- Principles of mobile and iOS application development
- Workspace set-up
- Tuesday:
- Morning: End of lecture, begin project brainstorming
- Afternoon: Start of project
- Wednesday through Friday morning:
- Application development
- Tutorials as needed
- Friday afternoon
- Project presentations
Evaluation
Grades will be determined entirely by the project, which will be submitted and presented to the class on Friday.
