L'International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) est une organisation non-gouvernementale qui réunit des sociétés nationales qui travaillent dans le domaine du traitement de l'information. Elle a été créée en 1960 sous les auspices de l'UNESCO, à la suite de la tenue à Paris en 1959 du premier «World Computer Congress».

The International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) is a non-governmental, non-profit umbrella organization for national societies working in the field of information processing. It was established in 1960 under the auspices of UNESCO as a result of the first World Computer Congress held in Paris in 1959.¦

Je suis impliqué dans les activités de l'IFIP à la fois comme
        – représentant français à l'Assemblée Générale de l'IFIP
et comme
        – vice-président du Comité Technique «Foundations of Computer Science» (IFIP TC1).

I am involved in IFIP's activities both as
        – French representative to the General Assembly of IFIP
and as
        – vice-chair of the IFIP Technical Committee «Foundations of Computer Science» (IFIP TC1).
