NEWCOM AUTUMN SCHOOL
Estimation theory for wireless communications
Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris, France, October 24-28, 2005
|
|
Welcome
The purpose of this school is to provide the standard and new tools of the estimation theory used in practical estimation issues encountered in wireless communications. We will focus on the propagation channel estimation as well as on the synchronization issues. As for applications, we will concentrate on the OFDM based systems and on the UWB system.
We expect that the attendees have a solid background in statistics and probability (random process, different types of convergence, central-limit theorem) as well as in digital communications (linear modulations, detection theory, multi-carrier transmissions).
Registration and venue
The course will be held in Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST), 46 rue Barrault 75013 Paris, France, from October 24 to October 28, 2005.
To reach this place from Paris airports and railway stations and to get a hotel list, please see
the following website in English or in French.
The final program and information about lunch is available in PDF format.
The lectures will take place at Amphithéâtre Estaunié (Estaunié Room).
at the main entrance, turn on the right and then go to the darkred doors
The registration is now closed.
Notice that the attendance is free of charge for any participant.
Even if this school is organized in the framework of Network of Excellence NEWCOM, the participants may not need to be NEWCOM members.
Program
The slides can be obtained by clicking on the title of the lectures.
Electronic copies of the slides are also available by uploading the following PDF file (about 14 Mbs).
