ACE / NEWCOM AUTUMN SCHOOL
Space-Time Coding
Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, October 9-12, 2006
|
|
Welcome
The purpose of this school is to provide the standard and new tools of the space-time coding used in wireless communications. We will focus on the well-known block coding (Alamouti and BLAST schemes) as well as on the most recent and powerful coding such as Golden codes. Decoding and information-theoretic aspects will be also treated. As for applications, we will concentrate on the Wimax.
This school is organized by Emanuele Viterbo from Politecnico di Torino
(Polito, Turin, Italy), Jean-Claude Belfiore and Philippe Ciblat from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST, Paris, France).
Registration
The course will be held in Politecnico di Torino, Turin , Italy, from October 9 to October 12, 2006 on the main campus (sede centrale, in Italian).
Reception desk will start on Monday October 9th at 8:30 in
Sala Buzano, Dipartimento di Matematica (3rd floor),
Politecnico di Torino
Corso Duca degli Abruzzi 24, Torino, Italy
The registration is now closed.
Notice that the attendance is free of charge for any participant.
Even if this school is organized in the framework of Network of Excellence ACE and NEWCOM, the participants may not need to be ACE or NEWCOM members.

|
Attendees talks: during an afternoon session, the attendees may introduce their own works.
In order to submit a talk (which has to rely on space-time coding), just send an email to Philippe Ciblat (before 09/22)
Slides: Hard copies of the slides will be available during the lectures.
Venue
The course will be held in the main campus (Address : Corso Duca Degli Abruzzi 24) of the Politecnico di Torino, Turin , Italy.
