RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
  • Present main interest : Ultra Wide Band Communications, statistical antenna modelling and statistical modelling of the antennas-channel system
  • High data rate WLANs; switched beam antennas and MIMO antenna systems, electromagnetic antenna design and behavioural analysis
  • Measurement and analysis of the indoor radio propagation channel, DOA/DOD high resolution analysis, angular, spatial and polarisation diversity

Professional experience

  • From 1979 to 1992: research engineer at CNET,National Research Center of France Telecom (Bagneux):
    basic and applied research in semiconductor physics and micro-opto-electronic devices; study of defects and deep levels in III-V semiconductors. Research on novel quantum devices based on semiconductor superlattices for ultra-high frequency oscillators and opto-microwave conversion.
  • Since 1992: Professor at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées.
  • From 1993 to 1999: Consultant with CNET (Bagneux): quantum superlattice devices for microwave-over-fiber local telecommunications applications.
  • 1995-2010: Head of the Electronics and Computer Engneering Department at ENSTA-Paris
  • since 2010: Vice-Chair for Research and Innovation of the Comelec Department at Telecom Paris
  • 2013-2021 : director of doctoral education, Telecom Paris
  • Since Oct. 2021 : emeritus professor
