I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Signal and Image Processing (TSI) of Telecom Paris (ENST), France. I am working under the supervision of Béatrice Pesquet-Popescu from Telecom Paris and Jean-Christophe Pesquet from the Gaspard-Monge Institute within the University of Marne la Vallée.
My thesis subject concerns joint source-channel coding techniques based on redundant wavelet decompositions applied to still images and video sequences.
I come from Romania where I graduated “Politehnica” University of Bucharest, Department of Automatics (Electrical Engineering), in 2002.
