Biography

Mansoor Yousefi is Associate Professor in the Information Processing and Communication Laboratory (LTCI) at Telecom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, Palaiseau, France. From 2012 to 2016, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study, and the Institute for Communications Engineering, at the Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada, in 2012 (convocation in 2013).

His research interests are in information theory, communication theory, optical fiber and neural network theory. He is a recipient of a number of awards, including the IEEE Information Theory Society Paper Award in 2018, an ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council in 2018, and an IEEE Jack Keil Wolf ISIT Student Paper Award in 2013 (and in the short list in 2010).
