mMosaic - User's Guide


Introduction

mMosaic is based on NCSA Mosaic 2.7b4 and have roughtly the sames options and features. Please see NCSA XMosaic 2.7b4. Some tools of NCSA XMosaic 2.7b5 is include.

Additional command line multicast options

It is a common way to activate mMosaic via sdr . A pluggin exits. Please see the installation notes.

For test purpose, you can use those multicast options:

                                  
 -S sessionName  the name of session (see sdr - future use)
 -M mediaName    see sdr (future use)
 -ttl ttl        the multicast ttl
 -a aliasName    your email     
 -mcDest ipaddr/port     The multicast address/port from sdr.
         If you don't use this option, you run standard NCSA Mosaic.
	 This option enable the multicast menu in mMosaic.
	 You start mMosaic alway in listen mode. If you want to send
	 your page , clic on send enable. A popup window show
	 members of the session. Any member can send or receive.
	 A sender have an URL on right of his name. Clicking on the 
	 sender's name, popup an other mMosaic window. This window show 
	 the current sender HTML page. If this HTML page have anchor
	 with 'good' URL, clicking on this anchor, open an other
	 UNICAST mMosaic window. So you can 'bookmarked' the page or navigate
	 as usual.

Here is a simple example:

	mMosaic -M mMosaic -S "mMosaic Test" -ttl 15 - mcDest 224.2.247.230/55146 -a dauphin@sig.enst.fr http://www.w3.org/
