Brief Bio

I am currently a Professor at Telecom ParisTech, holder of the Big Data and Market Insights Chair and head of the IC2 group. The group is composed of ten senior researchers and a dozen of postdoc and PhD students, with strong expertise in the foundations of database systems, web data management, human-computer interaction and cognitive science. I am the author and co-author of more than forty technical publications in international conferences and journals, national conferences, and book chapters. My main research interests are in large scale data management and mining, recommender systems, web information extraction, large graphs and social networks analysis. I participated and led research actions in national and European research projects (IP/FP7, ANR, FEDER, .) for several years. I received an Habilitation degree (HDR) from the University Pierre & Marie Curie, a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University Paris-Dauphine and a Master degree in IT from the University of Paris II (Institut IMAC). I spent two years as an assistant professor at the University of Paris-Dauphine, before joining Telecom ParisTech (formerly ENST) in 1998.
