http://www.wordle.net/ of my research papers in early 2013; description below last updated in 2016
I received my Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) from UPMC (2010), my PhD (2005) and MSc (2001) degrees from Politecnico di Torino. Before joining ENST in 2006, I worked with the Telecommunication Network Group of the Electrical Engineering department at Politecnico di Torino. Between september 2003 and august 2004, I held a Visiting Researcher position in the Computer Science division at University of California, Berkeley.
To summarize my achievements in these last few years at Telecom ParisTech, I have coauthored 9 patents and 150+ papers in leading conferences and journals. Google scholar reports 3500+ citations, with an H-index of 30+ and a i10index of 60+. These papers also received distinctions (including an IETF Applied Network Research Prize, a Google Faculty Research Award, 1 runner up and 3 best paper awards) and had impact on IETF standards ( LEDBAT WG). Whenever possible, I put datasets and code on this Webpage: I am delighted that 3000+ people have found ccnSim useful for their research. These achievements wouldn't have been possible without the help of several MSc, PhD students and PostDocs, which have been funded mainly through European research projects, such as FP7 mPlane, NAPA-WINE, Celtic TIGER, TIGER2 and TRANS, ANR Connect. In terms of community services, I co-chair the RT2, that federates the Institut Mines-Telecom researchers working on networking domain (about 50 people from 5 schools in France), serve in the Steering committee of ITC and AINTEC, chaired the last 2 editions of ACM SIGCOMM AINTEC (2013,2014) and of the ACM SIGCOMM PhD School on Traffic Monitoring and Analyis (2014) and participated in the program committees of 50+ conferences including ACM CoNEXT, IEEE INFOCOM of which I am Distinguished Member (2015,2016). I am a Senior member of the IEEE (2013) and Senior member of the ACM (2015).
More details about myself can be found in this (updated about once per year) curriculum vitae (longer academic version ). In this page, among other things, you'll find my publications and patents, some information concerning the currently ongoing projects, some open source datasets, demos and software and my teaching activities.
I am very passionate in my work and always open for new challenges. Currently I put my passion at work on research interests such as Internet traffic measurement, Information centric networks and high speed networking. Formerly I also worked on green networking, peer-2-peer networks, congestion control, traffic engineering and vehicular networks. You can get a feeling about my research work by looking at the cloudtag of my research papers below (last updated 2013).
